EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus review
Updated October 15, 2026
The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus is the 1kWh station we’d pick if you’ll lean on solar or want it to switch over fast when the power drops. It holds 1,024Wh, runs 1,800W continuous, and takes up to 1,000W of solar. At 27.6 lb it’s a two-hand lift.
How we compare: we read the maker’s specs, the amazon.com listing and what owners keep mentioning, like real solar input, fan noise and weight. We haven’t tested these ourselves, so runtimes are worked out from watt-hours, with the math shown. How we compare.

DELTA 3 Plus or plain DELTA 3: which should you buy?
We’d buy the Plus if you’ll use solar a lot or run gear that hates a blink in power. It takes up to 1,000W of solar across two 500W inputs, double the plain DELTA 3, so a sunny afternoon can refill it from empty. EcoFlow lists the UPS switchover at under 10 ms, which keeps a desktop, NAS or CPAP running through a short cut.
Everything else will feel familiar. It holds 1,024Wh, runs 1,800W continuous with 3,600W surge, and has six AC outlets plus two 140W USB-C ports. By our math that’s about 17 hours for a 12V fridge averaging 50W, or a good evening for your kitchen fridge.
It also grows with you. EcoFlow’s extra batteries take it up to 5kWh. The downside is the same 27.6 lb as the DELTA 3, so if you mostly charge from the wall, the cheaper plain DELTA 3 makes more sense.
Head to head: EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus vs DELTA 3
Expandable to 5,000Wh with EcoFlow add-on batteries (maker spec).
What do the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus specs mean?
Capacity is 1,024 Wh. That’s enough to keep your fridge, a lamp and the router going for a while. For an outage longer than a day, you’ll want a way to recharge.
It’s rated 1,800 W continuous, which is the most you can run at once. Surge is listed at 3,600 W, with a boost figure of 2,200 W, and that headroom is what gets a fridge compressor started.
It weighs 27.6 lb (12.5 kg). At this weight it’s a two-hand lift, or something you set down once and leave. It takes up to 1,000 W of solar, though the wall is usually the quicker way to fill it.
Runtime claims on the box assume a light load, so we’d go by your own watts. How we compare.
How long will the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus run a fridge, CPAP or TV?
Here’s our math for one appliance at a time, using about 870Wh of usable energy. Check the watts on your own label, because yours may differ.
| Appliance | Average watts | Runtime |
|---|---|---|
| Wi-Fi router | 10W | about 87 hours |
| CPAP (no heated humidifier) | 40W | about 21 hours |
| 12V compressor fridge | 50W | about 17 hours |
| Laptop | 60W | about 14 hours |
| 32-inch LED TV | 100W | about 8 hours |
| Kitchen fridge (average with cycling) | 150W | about 5 hours |
Who is the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus for?
We’d point you to the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus for car camping, a van or RV setup, home backup and lots of solar charging.
What outlets does the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus have?
6× AC (1,800W total, 3,600W surge), 2× 140W USB-C, 2× 36W USB-A, 1× 12V car outlet (126W), 2× DC5521.
Inverter: pure sine wave. Chemistry: LiFePO4.
Skip if
Skip it if you’ll mostly charge from the wall, because the plain DELTA 3 has the same battery and inverter. We’d also skip it if it’s going up stairs a lot, since the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 is nearly 4 lb lighter.
Good for a camping weekend, RV and van trips and a short home outage.

Common questions
- How long will the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus run a 12V fridge?
- About 17 hours if your fridge averages 50W, which is typical for a 12V compressor fridge. You can draw about 870Wh from it (1,024Wh times 0.85), so a 40W fridge gets about 21 hours and a 60W one about 14. Hot days and an often-opened lid will shorten that.
- Can the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus run a coffee maker or microwave?
- A drip coffee maker is often 800–1,200W. A microwave is often 1,000–1,200W at the wall. The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus is rated 1,800W continuous. Both fit under that rating, though we’d read your appliance label first to be sure.
- How fast does the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus recharge from solar?
- About 1 hours at best: 1,024Wh divided by its 1,000W solar limit. Real panels give you less than their rating once heat, cloud and a low sun come into it, so we’d plan on longer.
- How heavy is the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus?
- The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus weighs 27.6 lb. It’s a two-hand lift over a short distance, like from the van to your pitch.
- Can the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus run a refrigerator during a power outage?
- Yes, for a while. A kitchen fridge averages roughly 100–200W once you allow for the compressor cycling. At 150W, the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus would last about 5 hours by our math. Check the label on your own fridge, because older models can draw more.
- Is the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus good for camping?
- For car camping, yes. At 27.6 lb it’s a two-hand carry, and 1,024Wh is enough to run a 12V fridge for about 17 hours.
- Can you add batteries to the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus?
- Yes. The maker lists expansion up to about 5,000Wh with its own add-on batteries, so you can add runtime later without replacing the station.
