EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus vs Jackery Explorer 240 v2
Updated October 15, 2026
Short answer: we’d take the RIVER 3 Plus if you’ll use it at home as well as at camp, and the Explorer 240 v2 if the lightest carry wins.
They hold a similar amount, 286Wh against 256Wh. The real gap is output. The RIVER 3 Plus runs 600W across three AC outlets, while the 240 v2 runs 300W from one.

When we’d pick the EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus
The RIVER 3 Plus has double the inverter, a switchover under 10 ms for your router or desktop, and add-on batteries up to 858Wh. That’s a lot of flexibility for a budget box.
When we’d pick the Jackery Explorer 240 v2
The Explorer 240 v2 weighs 7.7 lb, nearly 3 lb less, and it’s plenty for lights, phones and a laptop. Its 100W USB-C port works as an input too, so a USB-C charger can refill it.
Neither one will run a 12V fridge all weekend on its own. For that, we’d look at the 500Wh class or add an extra battery to the RIVER 3 Plus.
